The Tiger Frances Foundation is very happy to announce that our Love On Paws program has partnered with Communities in Schools’ Los Angeles affiliate. CIS is the nation’s largest, most effective dropout prevention organization dedicated to keeping kids in school and helping them to succeed. We take our rescues to visit the kids during their CIS program time. The kids get to interact with the rescues, learn about the rescue's past, ask questions, or just have some quiet one-on-one time with them. Read on to learn more about and see some super sweet photos of the kids, their work, and the animals! The animals help the kids open up emotionally and socially. They learn to connect with the animal and take their time to get to know each one. We have seen kids, in a matter of an hour, go from being scared of animals to cuddling their new furry friend and having a hard time letting go. We are excited about our future with Communities in Schools, and we feel honored to be part of such a special program that’s doing incredible work for kids everywhere.
